Heller Panther, any good?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, May 28, 2004 12:33 PM
Hey all, just went to the LHS and saw a "Heller" Panther. Looked very temping, but I've never even heard of heller and I don't know how it is. This is very similar to Wipw's query. Any help would be great, thanks.

Heller is a French company. They bought or were bought by Humbrol, I believe. At least they advertise like they are the same company now. They make some fantastic (as well as real doggy) ship kits. I don't particularly like the plastic they use. I don't know what it is, but it's just doesn't feel or work the same as Tamiya or Dragon's plastic. I've never bought any of their armor, therefore my posted question. How much was the Panther and which version is it?

Oh gosh, let me remember. I think it was a G and it was about 27 bucks. I'll give you a rain check on that...

I bought the Heller Kubelwagen and inside was the old Italeri Kubelwagen. The Heller M4A3 76mm is the old Italeri Sherman. These facts lead me to believe that it may be one of the Italeri Panthers.
