Just out of curiosity, is this just a personal site showcasing your personal collection? In the last few months, there have been so many great builds, I was just curious about it Smile [:)]

Forgot to ask ya I have been eyeballin that kit for awhile and wanted to know what the differance is between that one and the other the koreans or veitcong used. Looks to me it is just the grill on the cab of the truck. That kit is great looking in the box.

zokissima, 99.9% of the models on my site are my personal collection. 'Art Instructor' has been working for me for about 5 years now and he has built hundreds of models & dio's for me. There are two other modelers too.

thundergod, the Trumpeter's SA-2 w/ Transport Trailer comes with decals for 3 Armies - Egyptian, Russian and North Vietnam. There's no differences in models and boxarts, just in decals. I may need another box to make into an NVA version, just to have them all. ;-)

It really is an amazing kit. I was reading a review of it in MMiR recently, and the author actually said that it surpassed a Tamiya kit. I completely and wholeheartedly agree. Tamiya is good, but not THAT good. If they released a comparable kit, it'd probably cost twice as much.
FYI the difference is in the truck. The Soviets licensed it out to the Chinese, who built their own indeginous version of it. There are some minor mechanical differences in the real thing. Don't know if this is represented in the kit itself. Either way, it really is a stunning model.

Hundreds? Well, you certainly live up to your nickname then Big Smile [:D]
Do you build any of them?
My compliments to your modelers, as they always do a superb job, at least from all the posts you've made.

Thanks . Then I am looking at what I did in the LHS., apon opening it I was floored and was told the only differance betwween the if if there is two is the grills on the truck. Either way for 50.00$ its a super detail high quality kitfrom the looks of it. Even out does the tamiya M26dragonwagon.

zokissima, I quitted modeling myself some 4-5 years ago since I have no talent at all in modeling. In the past the biggest piece I built myself was Tamiya's Yamato Battleship 1:350 which took me 4 days for assembling and 2 days for painting (simple, one color for upper half of the ship). Thanks for your compliments to my modelers.

Erock68, many thanks for your kind words!.

thundergod, I think you and zokissima are right, there's another box which is Chinese version of SA-2. I forgot to check out my Trumpeter's Catalog before answering your previous inquiry. The kits costed me only $36 each, a little cheaper than $50 a piece that you quoted.
