Pics of a night of cat and mause...
Posted by lizardqing on Friday, June 11, 2004 7:46 PM
Thought I would do something just non time consumeing and rather pointless for my 3000th post. I was in the LHS the other day and saw a couple of kits that I had yet to build. Figured my shelf needed a Tiger and the Mause just looked cool so up to the counter they went. Picture quality basically is crud, I think my little camera is starting to wear out. Both are OOB nothing extra.

I tried to do a bit of an ambush pattern on this one. Don't know of the actuality of it but was just wanting to give it a try on something. There are PE grills that came with the kit on it.

The tiger is sprayed gray , no mud or anything though I might try to put some on it one of these days.

I know the decals are missing, of coarse they are literally missing too. Can't find them in the clutter of stuff on the table. Not two of my better builds , but for a total of about 10 minutes on the Tiger and 30 on the Mause it was worth the time.

Now , what Sherman crew would not want a war trophey like this to take home with them? Big Smile [:D]

Now, I promise to get back to the better work.

Thanks , those are the Dragon 1/144 Panzer Korps kits. These were set #2 out of the 4 that they have out right now. There are going to be 10 sets of them eventually. They were easy to build, I think easier than 1/72.

Congrats Chris on reaching the 3K mark.

You're a great asset to these forums.

Nice work on your little paper weights Tongue [:P] , but I need to correct you on your Sherman trophy pic.
They usually tied the Tiger across the rear engine deck.
You're thinking of some Georgia roadkill slung across the front fender of your truck.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Congrats on the 3000, Chris. I'm finally almost up to 2k, but it will still take a while. What did you do with the engine grills on the Tiger? I can't figure out how to get them below the tow cables without a whole lot more work than I want to go through for these little guys! (I've got #1 and 3).

Nice build. (It's taking me a lot more time than that to build mine!)

Thanks again y'all.

Robert- LMAO , Somehow I know I can always depend on you for a comment about GA.

Bill- I could not figure it out either and just seemed to much of a hassle to try and cut them right just to have them covered up by the turret.

Thanks again for the compliments y'all. I would definatly say to pick up a set of those kits if nothing else just for a fun afternoon, and you cant beat the price of $5 for two kits.

Hey Joe, just be sure to put the lid on the CA before you pass out, would'nt want you to glue your forehead to the desk Big Smile [:D]

I think I hurt myself Petbat.
Nicely done Chris. My LHS has been talking about possibly carrying those mighty mites. The detail looks pretty good on them and you did a good job getting the most out of that. Now.....I wonder if you could do an interior detail....????

Chris, I can't remember if I gave you a hearty well done on the 3k or not, but if I didn't before, congrats. I always enjoy reading your comments, advice, and seeing your work! Thanks for all the support and inspiration you've given to the forum in general and me in particular. I don't think I'll ever get to the 3k mark, let alone Robert's 5k! But I am FINALLY getting close to that magical 2k!

btw, Eric, if you're in the Penthouse, where does that put Robert???
