Larry's 'NIGHT OF....' gives me an idea....

It was a great idea, as well as a great build by Larry. A lot of people were interested, but couldn't commit. Here's another idea:
Chess is always better when using a clock.
Why not combine Larry's speed build with a clock timer?

Here's how. This completely relies on the honor of the participants. We pick a start date that a group can furnish a 1/72 Armor kit (any variety). We have an precise list of people involved. The build moves in one hour 'turns'. At the end of one hour, that's it, photograph, post and back into the box. No one moves on to the next hour until the entire group has finished their hour. Everyone has to be able to work at least one hour week. If everyone finished hour 1 by say Tuesday, then you are free to work hour 2.
We could even set a limit of six hours or so. It may take one week or six weeks depending on the group.
It would be interesting to see how different modelers would tackle a time challenge in increments but still flexible to schedules and time zones.

Whad'ya think sirs?

ausf, you into these logistical nightmares??

I'm not sure I work well under that kind of pressure. We'll see what the other maniacs out here think!

I say go for it, heck the 1/72 kits are only 4 to 15 dollars, not very expensive.....

ausf,,,, I have yet to finish my easy 8 that I tried to do with Larry, heck It almost got tossed out the window,, but alas I calmed down and put it aside and moved onto my small armoured vehicle build project. However now that I have had time to calm down Count me in. as much as that 1/72 scale model drove me crazy I want to conquer that scale no matter what.

Push the button, Frank.

Laugh [(-D]

I can't participate, because I don't understand the rules. Tongue [:P]

m1abramsrules, great to hear you did a GMC in a day. If I inspired even one person to crank out a model, I feel my work is done here. (Feathery wings suddenly stretch out of "Born to Boogie" t-shirt and he flies off into the clouds.)
