Tiger I, early.... The begginings.

Well, ive finally got the Academy Tiger I kit i posted about a week or so back. Looks pretty good from the outset. The PE engine grills were missing from the boxDisapprove [V]. I guess ill have to force my self to buy a PE detail set for it.

Ive begun work on the interior, i was a little disappointed at the fit of some of the parts, especially the transmission around the driver. I guess im used to the ease of the Tamiya kits going together!

Painting it should be interesting, ill see if i can get a goot brush finish seing as though im lacking an airbrush Smile [:)]

Ill post some pictures when ive got a bit more done.

I'm new to this so if I am waaay off let me know. Wouldn't the shop you got it at exchange it for one with all the parts? or could you email Academy and tell them what was missing? or is that a stretch? I saw the kit at my LHS today and it looks cool, may have to get one after I finish the 2 I just began. Good luck and post some pics:)

well, im not terrible fussed about it. I considered taking the kit back but i was more interested in building the interior than the exterior. Ive heard around the place that a fair few people have had the same problems with parts (especially the PE) missing.

But all ive got to do now is get somme $$ for a PE set Smile [:)]

a suggestion. write academy and tell them about the missing part. if it was their mistake they will send a replacement. if it was the shop then they will start an investigation. if it was the shop he/she is a theif and should be made acountable. i cant stand theives. and if a hobbyshop owner is one, even worse.
