Harry, your King TIger looks great.

The camo and weathering make the tank!

Very nice - very realistic.

The final Tiger II also didn't have an mg ring on the copula, the turret sides had six track holders instead of four and small rings were welded to the sides to hold camoflage brush and limbs. The rear deck had the rectangular vents protected by plates over them rather than screen.. It also had other small differences, but I think most of them have been covered within the previous posts.

BTW, Thanks for all the compliments and support.. I am glad to see my efforts are not in vain..

The Tiger looks great, a nice cammo and a great build Big Smile [:D]

Eric and Bill
The final Tiger 2 had different tracks, one link type and 18 tooth sprocket wheels, it had the same smooth mantle as the Ardennes tiger 2 Tamiya has out and it had a different rear hatch on the back of the turret, the cut was more angled on the final one
it also had different mudguards/ fenders and a rain guard over the sight

I was going to convert a Tamiya Kingtiger into a final version until i found Dragons one in there catalogue, ive already got the friulmodel tracks and sprockets

if you want to know any more differences ill check my books

beautiful tiger, panther. I really like the camo, and those friuimodel tracks just set that babay off. might have to take the plunge and buy some of those for my jagdpanzer, if I can find some new wheels and sprockets. semper fi, mike

I think I heard the final had a smooth mantlet. Not sure if that was the only difference or not. Ifigured you, being the 'tigerman' would know all that stuff!!

You're slippin'!! lol

I'm afraid I don't know when it's out and I'm embaressed to say I don't know the so-called difference on a final production. I'm just looking to save on postage, rather than order twice. I probably will order some Sturmtiger grilles for that upcoming group build.

Eric, any idea when the King final is supposed to be out? That's one I've been kind of waiting for. Along with the aniversary issue Panther A late, and the Pz IB. (I've wittled it down to those three being at the top of my priority list!) lol

Buy me, buy me!!

Come on guys. You want one. You know you do. It's calling to you both...."Buy me...buy me...Please take me home...It won't hurt, just buy me!! I'll be a good kit, honest. Just let me follow you home...I won't pick on your other little tanks. They NEED a King to watch over and protect them. Buy me...buy me...b u y meeeeeeee!"

LMAO. Don't worry Bill, I was going to order the final production model, but I need to order the LAV-25 for my son's upcoming birthday. Might as well kill two birds..............
