I'm lucky if I finish a kit over a year, much less a weekend. Y'all enjoy!

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I'm even bagging Mad Tiger Day. No more kits until I get something on the shelf. Who am I fooling? Disapprove [V]

ewc2003, Thanks for comment, however, it is not a popsicle stick, its some wooden thing from a model railroad shopBig Smile [:D]. Well I reall need to get moving! I Just spent about 2 & 1/2 hours painting 4 1/72 figs for my little dio.

A list for my to dos for tommorrow:
1. one more fig
2. coat of future
3. wash
4. dullcoat
5. drybrush and pastels
6. base.

I am not expecting the base to take long. I will use plaster of paris so it can dry faster.
In an emergency, I will complete the Kuble first, then work on the dio so my participation will be held.
got to sleep, really tired.

oh well, as a side note: this is the longest i have ever spent with a 1/72 model. I spent 15 hours on it, although I was on chat most of the time too. probably a good 10-11 hours of working on it though. thanks to all you who put up with me on chris's chat room!!!

Rebel...

I like how the kubel is coming along. I can see your pink disaster (from the popsicle stick I assume) was very well corrected. I have six Tamiya kits coming in the mail thanks to eBay. One of the kits is the M3A2ODS Bradley. I can't wait. Hold on, what is that feeling.. a sudden tugging to the dark side AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!! Anyways, I'll check in to see the progress. Now for that darn base for this beauty....

Oh, I got a little creative earlier with my printer and camera...

ewc2003, NICE!!!Big Smile [:D] That is a super fine job. Nice weathering too.
I can see you are slowly coming to the darkside. Come to us, We are you father...Big Smile [:D]

I am almost done. FInished the interior painting. Just have to finish painting the stretcher and the tarp. Then give it a wash and drybrush, and other weathering stuff. Then I will paint a few figs, make a small base and call it finished.

M1, Are we going to have a patch for this? Maybe just change the #1 two a #2 in the patch in your sig?

back to building, but dinner first!Dinner [dinner]Dinner [dinner]Dinner [dinner]Dinner [dinner]

I've finished with the kit....Holy crap... I can't wait until I get the 1/35 Tamiya in... THIS KIT WAS A BLAST. Also tried some different weathering techniques on it... My airbrush crapped out on me, so I weathered with a wash (Tamiya Smoke, black, brown and a couple other colors), then drybrushed dark tan, black and steel (in that order). For the bags, I painted them camo green, then weathered with dark tan and RLM 83. The two bags in front I did in Panzer Chocolate Brown and drybrushed with Dark Tan. The antenna I split a 22 gauge wire and retwisted. Then heated up the end and pressed into the antenna bases. Finshed them off with aircraft interior black...

Now to figure out a diorama for it... :)

Here's the page with all the photos:

WOW! Very Nice! THe Camo is Awsome! Is it done yet, or is there some decals or weathering your going to do? THat kit looks like nice one. Lots of detail.

As for me, I fianally got it, and though the circles are not perfect nor are the crosses even (I measured tooShock [:O]) But Well, I am satisfied. I am now painting the interior and then I will spray it with future for a wash and decals. Heres a couple of pics.
Sorry, they are a bit blurry, camer sucks.Angry [:(!]

Grrr...Airbrush went on the fritz...Did the brown and black by hand, so not as blended as I wanted... here's an update pic. I removed the antenna to make thicker ones after looking at some reference pics...

OH NO!!! My 2nd attempt at an amblulance kuble was shattered.Sad [:(] Apperantly I was so tired last night that after I stopped airbrushing I forgot to clean my siphon cup. I left the red in there! I was surprised today when I went to put whit coat on and I got pink. And besides that, my masking tape is not stickingAngry [:(!]! I am having bad luck today. I should get alot done tonight. I 'll stay up watching Mad T.V. and SNL and work on the dio base.
Hopefully I can accomplish my goals of painting the kuble by tommorrow morining.

Making a medical Kuble is going to take a bit loner than I thought. I had put down the base coat, and then went to spray the circles but my template couldn't get in close enough. I have an I dea though, Its just gonna take longer.

Well, it's 12:30 and my downstairs neighbors probably wouldn't like me firing up the compressor over their heads, so I'll sign off for now. I got the wheels washed, and the "templates" for the dark earth and black camo spots... I also made the two radio antennae on the turret from single strands of a 22 gauge wire... holy crap that was fun. They won't stay straight, so I'm gonna bend 'em back and tie them off to the ammo boxes behind the turret. Haven't painted the 25mm yet. will do that after the rest of the camo. Will probably drill out the muzzle as well. Big Smile [:D] The kit came with duffel bags, ALICE packs, and sleeping bags so I've got to figure out where I'm gonna put 'em. Talk to you all in the morning...
