Pacific 60th GB idea
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 18, 2004 12:52 PM
G'day Folk's,

I have this idea to put a Group Build together for the 60th annivesary of the Pacific war, which I have a tentative starting and finishing from Nov to April '05.
I've had a few member's so an expression of interest in this project, as I originally posted this in the General Discusion forum.

This should be a winner. Generous time frame also. Maybe then would be the time to build that wingy-thingy sitting on my shelf.

I preordered the Midway Dauntless, might work well timing-wise.

It would actually be approaching the 63rd for that.

Sounds interesting. The time frame is definitely a good thing, as it would give members plenty of time to join in. Not certain about myself yet, but we'll see as it comes closer.

The Pershing was used in the Pacific? Never knew that. When and where?

Also, does "Pacific" include the CBI theatre, or just the Island-hopping arc of the campaign?

Great idea, by the way.

I'd like to join this build also. Possibly with a Devastator or P-61. Maybe a Rufe float plane.

You are correct that's why I emphasized the word "SOME" in my post.Smile [:)]. Also while there were certainly British Armor in the are I am not very familiar with them so I did mention any.

Hey Joe thanks for bringing this one back. I was begining to wonder if maybe it had fallen into the black hole. I'm still in with a wingy thingy. Promise not to let any of my fellow treadheads know about this one Joe. I think my armor kits are getting suspicious tho.
