I love to model everything produced between about 1937 and 1945, so it's extremely difficult for me to pin down a single "favorite" subject. I suppose if pressed, I'd have to go with the Tiger I.

Enjoy your modeling...

My all time favorite tank have always been the Tiget II and the Jagdpanter. I am currently working on my first Jagdpanter, and have a Tiger II on the Pile!

Well it used to be the Tiger II, but after the Panther Group Build, I'd say the Panther G. I really like the sleek shape. I still have an Early G to do yet.

I like to build tiger 1's. It's not so much the construction of the model, but I just like the look and power of the tank. Too bad it was on the wrong side in WW2, but I find it amazing how it put fear in every enemy soldier that had to encounter it, but again it would have been better to be an allied tank, but still. Thats just me...

I have a soft spot for the SP artillery/assault gun/halftrack types...not really sure why, maybe it's the variety they offer vs. the Tigers, Panthers, et al.

I' really like the Tiger I Early but there are some pieces of armour which kick off the Tiger from 1st place : HALFTRACKS - and because the Germans made the most different versions of this i like German halftracks - and but why not love the biggest one :) the FAMO. After I'll have finished my Tiger I'll going to start my 1/16th FAMO.

I know it's extremely Top 40, but the ol' Tiger II ("Porsche Turret") has always been my overall fave.

Well my favorite variant to model is the Panzer III. As for my favorite kit, it has to be Tamiya's Tiger I Mid Production.

Cheers

I like all German armor I think the Germans built some of the best looking AFV of all time ( the USSR did some nice looking AFVs as well)

The Sherman offers a lot of interesting variations, with different hulls, guns, and suspensions so there's a lot of variety with building several. I'm doing one now with a few more in the queue.

That said, the best looking tank of all time, regardless of combat capabities has to be a Panther G. Clean, elegant hull, well proportioned turret, and an impressive gun.

I'm with Matthias. I love the German haltracks, and if I knew more about them, I would probably love the allied ones too. My favourites would be the Panzerwerfer 42 auf Maultier, the Sdkfz 7/1 Flakvierling and the Sdkfz 251/20 UHU.

If it were just Tanks, I like T-34's Tigers etc. Just the usual suspects.

I really like the look of Soviet armour, from the t-34, to the t-55, and up to the t-72. Pretty much all soviet equipment looks just so menacing.

I like German WWII stuff , mostly because I have that kind of supply stocked for them , IE paints , stencils etc , 10 years ago you couldn't have paid me to build a nazi tank , then I got into tank history and you have to admit they were so far ahead of thier time in so many fields , we were lucky to have won the war at all ! Most modern armor is based either on the best ww2 german or russian tanks . But my favorite Tank has to be the Panther series , the thing is just pure business no doubt ! Tiger fans will argue otherwise , but I think it was the best tank of the war ,utility wise , reliable ,well armored, and deadly to its foes ! I do like the Jadgtiger a close second , it looks like a bank safe on tracks with a huge gun !Big Smile [:D]

Hi there
If by "Tiger P" you mean what I think you mean then Italeri do a KIt of that tank.

Definately WW2 but hard to pick just one, I think it would be a toss up between the Sherman and the Stuart but the Panzer 3 / 4 and the Cromwell are strong runners up. I recently wound up with some Italian armor and I have to say the M13/40 Medium tank and Semovente really grew on me. I think within the next year I'll be splurging on some Italian resin kits to get an AB41 armored car and P26 "heavy tank".

Then again I like the Soviet KV1 & 2 too, just love those big slab sided turrets. I think only the French and Japanese are completely out of the running for favorite, although they've got some I like too.

Oh, heck I'll just cop out and say anything built before 1946. Then of course there is the M41 Walker Bulldog, and... Tongue [:P]

Tiger prototype VK4501? Yes Italeri made it. Save your money though and get Dragon's upcoming one, bound to be much better. I'm not sure when it is do to be released.
