Mad Allied Day on August 29?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 12, 2004 8:28 AM
It's soon, but not too soon, IMO. How many of you with interest in Mad Allied Day (see separate thread) can do it on August 29? It's over two weeks away from today.

Sorry, too soon for me. I'm not available for that sort of thing until October. Thanks anyway.

I could probably swing it. I spent just over 12 hours building my Tiger for MTD and out of 8 of those I was at work and and only worked on it 2 hours there so I think I could actually put one together in 6 or less. Of course this would have to be a quality kit with no serious fit problems (that leaves out airfix).

I would be interested provided I am in town. I believe I will be. I'll have to rush out and get a 72 scale something or other.... Any suggestions for quality. My NSLHS has Hasagawa, DML, Revell and a few others.

I would have to hold off until November, I'd just be getting back from vacation that day (plus I still have a MTD hangover). Good luck to all if you go that way, I'll certainly be watching.

Sounds to me like we should just wait until November 14, as I had planned. Not much response here, and much of it negative.

November 14 it is! That's the day Patton's dog was born, and Monty's maid had her first baby (whom she named Monty, of course)! So it is a deeply significant date for Allied tank enthusiasts.

Why don't we all build a 'Willys' in honor of the mutt. Wink [;)]
