Gotta love the workbench he's using for the assembly! Where on earth would you display such a thing except in a museum? Maybe he's got it to scare the neighbors with...I wonder if the barrel elevates?

Do you stop to think that some people have TOO much time? I'd be lucky to build the 1/35 sized version.

I hope it's for a muesum or something. Crammed in a (relatively) small shed like that, it just looks kind of sad, like a huge toy someone bought and couldn't figure out what to do with it..

Browse around this guy's website, he's got loads of stuff like this in various scales...including a 1/35 Dora! Most of it he builds for order or collectors looks like, but man they are still awesome...

And yes, some people have way too much freetime and others have way too much money...get them together and you have capitalism at its finest! Big Smile [:D]

Amazingly impressive!
I hope it does get a roomier home. Looks kinda like a big bear stuck in a little cage in one of those cramped 1960's Floridian roadside zoos along Interstate 17.

you know, i was just thinking the other day when i was calculating how much space i would need for my puny 1/35th leopold, can't i make a bigger one? seriously, that looks like an amazing project. however, where in the world is that beast going to go when it's finished ?

Wow!!!!! and I was wondering where I was going to display my 1/35 scale version when its completed.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

I know most modelers are somewhat obsessed...but that rail gun blows us all away! This should be towed behind one of those large handbuilt steam engines people ride on.
I thought my 1/10 scale Elco PT with two 22 cc gas motors was "out there". Keep it up as the inspiration is good. Can't wait to show the pics to my wife !!
