Leopard 2 Camo
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 4, 2003 11:47 PM
A friend of mine is building a model of a Leopard 2, but doesn't want to paint it in the 3 colour or plain olive drab camo. He wants to do something different. Anyone got any ideas, or pics to help. One idea he had was Snow camo but can't find any pics. Also a desert sceem was an idea but not sure if they have been used in the desert. Anyhelp would be great Thanks.

He is building the 1/35 Tamyia Leapard 2A5 R/C

The German Army uses a water based white paint brushed directly onto the vehicles for snow camo. When it rains or gets wet the paint washes off. I traded a couple MRE's for a can to a German soldier and used it on my own vehicle during training. This would be the only other type of paint job for that vehicle. Think of the weathering possibilities! Sorry, wish I had a pic for you.
Good Luck,
Pat
