BTR-80 References Needed
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, September 30, 2004 2:00 PM
Hi All, I was wondering if any of you know of any references on the BTR-80? I picked up the Zvezda BTR-80, and I need some references for this future build. I have the CONCORD book "Soviet Wheeled Armored Vehicles" for a start, plus about 10 pictures from the net. Do you know of any other?

Thanks

How is the Zvezda BTR-80?, I thought about picking one up if the quality is OK, if not I will hunt down an old DML kit, unless it is a rerun of the DML kit then no point. I want to do a Romanian unit that served in Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, the " Red Scorpions" and need a BTR.

Thanks for the links! As far as this kit, it looks OK, but I am going to do a OOB review of it. I'd go for it, as it is the only game in town, unless you can find a Dragon kit. Be warned though, the Dragon kit needs work, and there are issues with out of scale parts, etc. Check FSM back issues for a review and rebuild of this kit. Sorry, I don't have the date of the issue, but I think it is about 5-6 years ago (any help here FSM Staff??)

I'm off now to do some printing from the links above! Please keep them coming!
