Just-finished halftrack

Holy cats! I finished another model!

This is Dragon's 1/35 scale SdKfz 250/10. It'll appear in the January 2004 issue of FSM in a four-page feature.

I hope you like it!

Very nice and clean build! I always wondered how come the armor models featured in Finescale are always very clean, with minimal weathering done.

It has an artist's-oil wash, which doesn't show up so well in this photo.

I didn't "mud it up" at all, as I may use the model in a diorama later on, and I'll want the weathering to match whatever groundwork I use.

The figures didn't come in the kit; if I remember correctly it just comes with a seated driver.

Matt,
I heard the interior for this version is wrong. What do you think and do you have a pic of the inside?

I had a chance to pick one up in a half-off bin at my now defunct LHS. I kick myself now. Nice buildup though.

nice job on the half track and the figures. Especially like the fine detail of mud on the soldiers pants! Great job

Very nice Matt. I always enjoyed seeing your work and reading your reviews in the Magazine. Is there any aftermarket detail used, or is it OOTB?

Cheers

Great Work! Is this the new DML Halftrack, and are there 3 choices in the box?? (IE Different versions??)

Personally, I prefer the clean look, so keep the work coming!

Looks good, I'm working on Dragons 251/1C right now. Been out of the hobby for awhile, boy have things changed... Have the 250/9 waiting on the sidelines for my next project. I don't know about the 250/10 but it seems Dragon went out of their way to make parts as small as possible, or have my hands gotten larger???Big Smile [:D]
For someone who doesn't do a whole lot, I sure get blame for a lot.

Very nice track Matt. If a project of mine turned out that good, I'd hesitate to weather it at all! Great job, can't wait to see the article! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Nice! Could use some weathering, but I understand how it is when your trying to tie the model with the groundwork. I heard in one of the workbench reviews a little while ago that the treads were hard to build. Is this true? Nice build! Also nice tiger in the last FSM's!!!
