Tigerman- The summers do suck. There was a few says this year that the humidity was such that if you wanted a drink of water all you had to do was take a deep breath. Winter is not that bad , mainly it's the occasional ice storm that causes alot of damage. Other than that tornadoes are the only other big concern. Of coarse we did get an earthquake back in the spring.

Jhulk- There's another - monsterarmor he's down the road from me
Dwight- Amazing how you get 19 a year and we never hardley hear about 1 but let 1 tropical depression barley miss Fla. and we hear all about it.

Yah Dwight your whole area including India, if I'm not mistaken, gets hit with those Typhoons, doing alot of damage and kills many people. Do you get Tsunamis?

Chris being from the Northwest we get lots of rain, about 34 inches a year. You'd swear the way non-natives talk, we must get 200 inches. Actually the summers are nice and warm, right now about 84. Winters are usually mild with no snow, but every 5-7 years we get hit with an ice storm. It's bearable.

wipw and tigerman:
thx for understanding.... it's not ez being a 21st century teen. a girl in my area ended up very badly (as in dead) recently, and it all started with internet correspondence. so i don't really have a problem with mom's conditions; she's been around a little longer than i have, and she's usually right too....(but she'd probably faint if she heard me say that !)
J-Hulk:
great photo of u and ur fiancee... was that her in the first Chi-Ha pic also ? omedeto, u look very happy together !

You're welcome, Frosty.

Wow, I went way back in the postings to the 19th to see what I'd said to you...

QUOTE: Frosty...Way to go for your Mom. As the father of two teenage boys, I can tell you, she's got the right!

...and realized I'd said it a little wrong. I meant to say, she's got it right! (She has THE right, too, but that's not what I was trying to get across.) There are some real "to be ware of" people out on the i-net. Sounds like you've found that out only too well in your area. I'm glad we have such a good group of people here to chat with. It's fun, it's safe, it's educational and helpful...as long as the rules are followed. Keep listening to your Mom. And thanks for being a part of the forum. I really enjoy your insights.

Hi Frosty. Being a parent myself (threefold) I totally agree with you mother. I don't find anything wrong with being protective or overprotective. It seems that the world has gotten goofier since I was a kid. I ran around unsupervised all the time. Sure, I drove my mom crazy with worry, but that was a different era.She cared, even obsessively, but like I said, it was some time back. Today, I won't even let my 7 year old daughter go to a friends house down the street unsupervised! There are are just to many wackos out there. Disapprove [V]Angry [:(!]
I echo Bill, I (we) enjoy your enthusiasm, humor, and input. It's nice having a fresh voice in the forum. Of course, I hope to see some of your work, as maybe some might be curious of mine. I will say you have it right, the dark side rules. Are we not the funnest forum? It seems we have a humor that some of the others don't quite share. Just my opinion. Smile [:)]

Chris: It's already part of of our lives here. So unless it is really disastrous, we don't bother talking about it.

Tigerman: Yes. In some instances, the easter islands (adjacent to the Pacific Ocean) do experience tidal waves but not really major ones.

I don't think that any truer words can be said about this forum.

Good fun, good friends, good modellers.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Absolutely!

Frosty, my sweetie is in one of the Chi-Ha pix, but just barely. She's hiding behind the tour guide, you can just see her shoe! Those other people were fellow tourists (all Japanese, as almost all tourists are Saipan are!).
And thanks for the "omedeto!"
