I know absolutely nothing about Swedish tanks so I really don't have much to talk about except that it looks like a pretty good kit to build.

What a rad tank!!! Looks like a stepchild of a Leopard and a UFO!!! I want one!!

Looks like a great kit, and a fine job on it too! I'm curious about the camo though; is'nt it usually seen in splinter camo? And is this a full kit in plastic, or is it a resin conversion kit for a Leopard. Lastly, where can I get one?!

This tank is a Swedish variant on the Leopard, so that's why it looks like one!  As for where you can get one, Trumpeter makes this tank, as does Hobby Boss.  Looks good man!

Many thanks for your kind comments! Yes, this is the Swedish version of the Leopard 2 (A5?). Soon I'll show the Danish version also from Hobby Boss. I haven't seen Trumpeter kit of this one, but some say Hobby Boss is Trumpeter in another name.

I believe Trumpeter marketed a clone of Tamiya's Leopard 2 under their "Minihobby" label. The HobbyBoss kit is supposedly newly tooled.

That's a very nice build... Only one thing: There is a BIG mistake in the instruction sheet... You shouldn't use the APU box in the rear right sight of the hull... You built it like this:

And it must be like this:

BTW, How good is the kit?... I've just ordered it and due to your post, just can't wait to have it in my hands... I was thinking about ordering a second one. As far as I know, you can build four versions from this kit: Leopard 2A6EX (German), Leopardo 2E (Spanish, with a little modifications to be made), Leopard 2HEL (Greek) and the Strv. 122, of course... You must only find the adequate decals for the version you want to build, and I want to build a Strv.122 (Leopard 2A5 equivalent for me) and also want the Spanish Leopardo 2E (The first pic is from one of them, and it's like a Leopard 2A6 equivalent for me... I don't like the color scheme: overall green, but I want a collection of Leopard 2s). Thanks a lot for sharing. Most regards.

I went to a hobby shop yesterday and saw Leopard 2 A5 from both Trumpeter (I saw it for the first time) and Mini Hobby. The shopkeeper said that Trumpeter first released it under its own name (with electric motor installed), but later on transfered it to Mini Hobby. But those are standard Leopard 2 A5, not STRV.122 which is a bit different in shape and rivettes and newly-tooled.

Jose, I think this is a good kit, you may have two if you want to build the Spanish version too.
