MM,

I really like that Stryker kit.  Can you find out from Art Instructor whether Trumpeter kit was difficult or easy to build (as in did A.I. had difficulty with fitting).  I hope someone would come out with that cage protection for it soon.

Thanks for your comments, m1garand! Art Instructor told me that most Trumpeter kits released during the past 3-4 years are good to build, parts fit together very well. As for the 'bird cage' you can rest assured that it will come out in not so long time.

Sorry for very late reply, I've been busy lately. Nevertheless, a new page will be up tomorrow.

He does some good work.  How much does he charge for his work?

Thanks. During the year, he let me determine the price knowing that I'd give him more that he could have asked for, and it has increased over the year. Each time he delivered his work, he got several hundred bucks!

Several hundred USD does sound like a lot to me too.  Then again, some people donate that much for nothing in return, and the way I take it from some of your posts about him, you do this to help him out as much as to acquire models.  Either way, love he paint job on the stryker, with the faded look.

Well buying professionally built models is not cheap.  If I can find all the stuff to do what a customer wants me to do he's willing to pay 700 for a builtup kit.  K5 Blazer with about 18 inches of scale lift, giant tires, trimmed fenders, working suspension and steering, removable top, etc.

m1garand, AI has to build 6-7 pieces at a time, not just a few. So several hundred dollars is a reasonable price and it enticed him to quit other jobs. I think Ian knows well that I have nine more years to help him pay for the townhouse that I borrowed to purchase for him. And this year I also help his brother "Tuk" by giving him kits to build which he has done fairly well.

PS, AI will come back tomorrow with 5 new armors and a new dio. Please stay tuned...
