T-55 - Done!
Posted by saddler on Friday, July 6, 2007 2:35 PM

Just completed this for the Russian 1/72 Armour GB

This is the PST T-55 built otb. The general fit of the kit is good but it lacks some detail. A PE sheet and some new tracks would be needed to turn this into a showpiece model.

Its finished in Vallejo and Tamiya paints and weathered with Mig pastels.

Any comments or suggestions welcome

wow looks great!  And man I had to do a double take to see if you listed what scale it was in!  It looks like a 1/35!  Great job

Looks good for Braille scale....Didn't this kit come with a machine gun cupola mount for the 12.7mm?

There was a mg on the spruce but no reference to it or any mounting in the instructions, the fixings looked so poor that I felt the model looked better without them. Its one area that would benefit from a PE set.

Fantastic build! I do like the mud.

Do you brushpaint or airbrush your T-55?

It is a shame that PST appears to have closed business.

cheers

saddler,

Super job!  Very nice weathering.  I'm currently working on a T54 (ACE) and hope that my model comes out looking as good as yours.
