I haven't hear the best things about Maquette, so I know it's not completely his fault, but both just look kind of, well plain I guess?  I don't know how to say it.  They look decent, but not great, no offence, but there not AI's best.

IMHO. I disagree, I think building those kits in itself is tuff but to make them look that good is very hard to do. I have attempted to build two kits from Maquette and they both gave me fits. Banged Head [banghead] Oh I gave up on the first and shelved the second. I give extra credit to the hard to build kits. Thumbs Up [tup]

I agree that the effort level is higher, but to Model Master who wants these items for display purposes, I think that how it looks is the biggest factor, not how hard it was to build.  I was commenting simply on how the finished product looks.  I see what you mean, but these are not my personal favorites from Art Instructor/Model Master.
