                        Hi, Bill! I musta missed this post over the last week.

                        The stencils I used on the E-100 were Eduard's German Numbers Large set (XT 009).

                        The King ain't gonna make the deadline, I'm afraid...which means the 1/16 Tiger I launch will be delayed as well.
                        Oh well, it's a hobby, not a job!

                        Ron, I just do what I can!

                        Yeah, too bad about the King. This was gonna be a big contest, too, with coverage in Armour Modelling and folks from Tamiya on hand. I'll still be there, just sans plastic!
                        The farther I progressed with the conversion the deeper it got! I want to do it right, so I'm gonna do just that. Take my time, and do it right. It'll be ready for some contest, sometime!

                        Frosty, I haven't started the E yet. I keep looking (drooling) longingly at it, but I want to finish the mid tiger first, and I'd like to get a little further with my elefant. But who knows. Brian keeps getting me fired up over it!
                        My son's school isn't really doing anything with Japanese. They just had a homework assignment where they had to write down some numbers using Japanese numbers. I thought it was pretty cool. I wish they would teach the kids a few words in Kangi (sp?) just to give them an idea of how it works. I think it would be facinating.

                        Frosty, perspective might work... I had not thought of that! I had been contemplating scratchbuilding instead... The Jaguar thingy is rather angular. And the Gepard should not be big trouble, when I get a scale drawing. But I'll start first with the existing stuff. Some might not 'work out' well: the Puma's coat is rather bland, and so can be the Lynx's (The European Lynx is slightly more colorful though). Let's see how the Leopard works out first. I've started the Revell 1A5, and it's a very nice little kit. When I say 'little', I was actually surprised to see it's almost as big as the King Tiger...

(I know where one is, but it's a further drive than my wife would have time to make at the moment.) But the 31st is a payday weekend, and it's not too far a drive for me!! lol

                        Ron, the funny thing is, that hobby shop is less than a mile from her youngest sisters house. But she is in school (Masters), working 40+ per week (Police dispatcher), and doing her field internship (20 hrs per week) so she doesn't even have time to see her. But thanks for the idea! We're going out earlier in the afternoon because she has to work Saturday night!
