Michael looks WAY too glad to see me.....(not that there's anything wrong with that) But I'd say...."No....I'm not that glad to see you Michael...and yes ....that is a wrench in my pocket."

Sad thing is I have this kit, and that IS the "special" resin figure that comes with it.

Goofy grin and all.

Apart from the figure, which seems to be modeled from the gnome on the travelocity.com commercials ("Am I dead?"), the most glaring issue I see on the Tiger is the fact that it is a command tank and should have the coax port plugged along with the turret roof antenna mount which appears to be missing. The star antenna is also misbuilt in that it should be in a relieved "tub", it should look like this:

The rear plate is also incorrect for a command vehicle in that the stowage is incorrect and it is missing the antenna stowage tube: This is how the rear glacis  should be built:

Some other observations:

the starter plate between the exhaust stacks is upside down....

the roadwheels on the left side are not "down" on the track...

commanders and drivers vision blocks are painted over.......

coax barrel is not drilled out, and there should not be an AA gun and a coax (which is incorrect for a command tank anyway) being as the vehicle was issued only ONE machine gun.....

Finally, the zimmerit appears to be well applied at first glance, but, upon closer inspection, one can see "gaps" where there is no zimm at all. That would be fine if these areas were not painted over. Chipped zimm should be portrayed properly with either red oxide  or bare weathered metal in these areas IMHO. The open commanders hatch revealing a total lack of interior cupola detail is also a sore spot.

Forgive me but, all Tiger devotees know that Whitmann subjects are probably the most researched, debated and scrutinized models among German Armor devotees. If you don't get it right........people will notice. I'm sure Byrden would have a field day on this one.

Actually, none of the outer road wheels touch the tracks. Perhaps this is the first real hover tank!

Well doog, for what it's worth I found the fig to be very nicely done.  Virtually no flash whatsoever.  The little that is there could almost be covered up with paint.

Maniac, this is the best job I've seen come from AI.  Regarding the Tiger that is.  I have this kit, and it is very nice, and also a bit challenging.  I also have the companion kit which is the Sturmtiger, basied on the same platform as that kit.

I Think Wittmann was sniffing the glue on your workbench when you weren't looking.

But seriously it looks good for the most part.  I love the paint job and the weathering looks nice.
