Posted by rjkplasticmod on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 10:23 AM

Another Raid into the Darkside to destroy a perfectly good kit Big Smile [:D].

Built OOB (Only way I build em) & painted with ModelMaster enamels.  Kit decals with markings representing C Co., 756th Tank Btn., 5th Army, Italy, 1944.  Weathered with Oil Washes & MIG Pigments.

Thanks for looking.  Comments welcome.

Regards,  Rick

That's a great looking build! These 1/48 kits are awesome little pieces, I have the Panther G kit, and this Sherman waiting in the pile.

Man, that looks great Rick!  I love that washed out streaking on the finish.  Very convincing when you examine color reference pics from the war.

Mind if I ask what colors you used for the camo scheme and how did you mask them?

Cheers

wwwWWWWOW!

Now THAT'S a Sherman!

Geez--it almost makes me want to defect to the Allies and build a Sherman too now!

This is seriously gorgeous--the paint and weathering are stunning! Stunning!!! Tongue [:P]

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like her.

Darren, the paint used was Model Master enamels, OD FS34087 & US Army/Marines Sand.  I masked using Handi-Tac, similar product as Blu-tac.

Looks great! I've built this one, did you have any problems with the link and length track? I had to work hard to get it together. Otherwise a nice kit with good detail for the scale. I like the cammo scheme, a nice departure from the OD.

Thanks Tellis.  Yes, this is the third one I've built & the tracks always seem to come up short.  As you say, other than that, a very nice kit with good detail for the scale.
