1/35 Tamiya M1025 Humvee KFOR
Posted by Townsy11 on Sunday, May 4, 2008 9:37 PM

Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to share some pics of my recently completed Tamiya 1/35 M1025 Humvee in KFOR service. It's done mostly OOB (with the exception of the engine mesh for the grilles and the stowage)

Next to a MM paint bottle for size comparison:

And next to my Challenger 2:

Thanks for looking, Any positive/negative feedback is appreciated.

Hey,

well done. The Humvee looks like the vehicles my american  comardes and friend used at Camp Bondsteel when i was down in Kosovo ( 3 tours ). The only point i do not really like are the dirty windows. In a countryside diorama , e.g. a checkpoint at the roadside in Gnijlane ( the village nearby Camp Bondsteel) than i can live with dirty windows, but in the camp all vehicles had clean windows.

greets

Thomas

Very nice, Chris!

I'm not much for the modern stuff, but I can tell a model that's really well done!

A very nice job on both! Make a Toast [#toast]

That's interesting my brother served a tour at Camp BondSteel with the 4ID back in 99 with a Engineering Battallion.

Thanks Jeordicat, Tango35, Doog, and GA.modelmaker!

Tango35: The windows are actually pretty clean (maybe it's the pics?) but they did fog-up when I was doing oil washes and it's something i'm not sure how to fixConfused [%-)].

Love your modern armor there Townsy. Great job on the paint and decals. Weathering is just right.
