yard sale finds
Posted by Mikeym_us on Saturday, July 19, 2008 1:13 PM

went to yard sales today and picked up a few military goodies you might like

first up is the M190 LAW rocket launcher picked up for $10

next is a AR-15/M-16 30 round magazine for $8 and a full box of .223 ammo for $5

once I get those beauties on the 10 round stripper clips I'll photograph them hopefully those pics will help someone scratch build some 1/35 scale ammo on stripper clips for a diorama.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

I picked up a National Defense medal with the ribbon and enamel ribbon in the presentation box for $5 once years back.  The plastic medal protection dome was still in place.  I want to say I picked up most of a Navy and Marine Corps Achievment Medal set at the same place and I can't recall for sure whether it was the enamel ribbon that had a National defense one in its place or if it was the regular ribbon.

It's a trainer, empty, just teaches gunners how to employ and fire the weapon.

It definitely would be illegal to own a live M190. well the pics I posted definitely show details that generally aren't shown on the M190 that Dragon put out in its Infantry Fire support set along with the stencils that were omitted from the same set.
