Hi all no pictures tonight but, after a concerted effort today I can confidently say this will be finished tomorrow, its been a long hard slog but on the final stretch today just a bit of tidying up required tomorrow.

Hi all. Finished the weathering on the side windows (I must say I'm quite pleased with it)also did the ammo box and made a start on the backdrop.

Hi all well this will be my last post on this one till at least next friday as off for the funeral in Scotland tomorrow.
I broke and lost part of the steering last night so had to make a new bit

gave the bottom another coat of muck and added a bit of grease

also (although my art days are way behind me nowadays)(and I never could do portraits)this is supposed to be Rene from Allo Allo, he will be behind a dirty window in the dio so I may get away with it, if not there's always plan B.

Hi all I've pretty much had it with car kits, Ive been told I'm ruining a classic kit, feeling pretty deflated now, I thought this was some of the best work I had done. will stick to ships in the future.

Hi all well I got £100 off my boss for xmas so ordered some gold leaf for the infamous ship a 1/16 revell VW Karmenn Ghia and managed to find German 1/8 machine gun for this dio 29.99 (bit pricey and it's not even a kit) I figure the effort I've put into this and the cost of the kit it will be worth it (yes it's a German machine gun but I figure they could have stolen it)

kpnuts

Hi Karl firstly let me thank you and everyone else for taking the time to look at this. The black and white pics I thought were more in keeping with the time period (I was thinking of adding quite a few to the finished dio) I post lots of pics as I'm basically as bad a photography as I am at modeling (some people are very kind with their comments and praises) so I take lots of pics in the hopes I will get a good one.

Ahh, I understand that; I was just thinking that if you were using Photobucket or a similar site which tabulates and then limits the bandwidth that you use, you can reach the cap awfully quickly by posting up a lot of photos. It's better for your post and your storage account to try to pick a few good ones and then be more focused in what you're trying to show.

Save the B+W ones for the finish. That will be a nice alternative view when it's finished. Not really necessary in the build stage though. Smile

You're doing a wonderful job. No critique is adequate or necessary. The painting and weathering looks great, honestly!

THe only thing I would suggest is, for the sake of making it easier on yourself and whatever photo storage site you're using to pick one or two clear, well-lit vcolor photos which show what you're trying to show and post them instead of the half-dozen shots of basically the same thing over and over. It's not necessary and clutters up your postings, in my opinion. Wink Why are you posting photos in B+W?
