Hi Nick !
Two points I would like to share with you . If I may . Point one .The Bel-Air Logo on the rear quarters . Did you know you can burnish it down even tighter ? You use a number eleven blade ( new ) and trace around the Wording a couple of times with the very tiny tip of the blade , be gentle here . .
Now are you ready for point two ? Use the dull foil or the backside of regular foil and some foil adhesive . Put this on over the shiny stuff or right over it all . Now take a tool from the Nail shop (it's called a cuticle pusher , or used to be ) One end has an angled soft tip on it .
You take this and using the edge go back and forth on the large area several times ( Gently . Now here's the kicker . take that soft tip and press it into the lettering real firmly with the soft edge .That logo will then POP !
Alright , the surprise .( I found this by accident ) Take the back end of an X-Acto aluminum handle . Make sure it is glass smooth ! Now carefully and gently rub this on the larger of the raised ribs on the Quarter trim panel and Bel - Air logo . . From front to back .You will see the larger ribs pop and get as shiny as the rest of the chrome around it .That is the way I remember mine , ( The real one that is . )
After you've done this on a test quarter then do it on the completed Super Model you have built . Again , giving the rest of us feelings of shame and inadequacy ! LOL.LOL. That is one gorgeous sedan , Can I have the keys ? T.B. P.S. Plus you painted it in My favorite colors , Green , like money !
