Stared to foil it!
I did not know that(did not buy the kit yet ,waiting for the 40 percent coupon in the Sunday paper). The wheel/tire combos look good!
Oh. The Del Rio already has these parts. You won't need mine.

Ask me about Speedway Decals
No problem I might use the parts on the 57 Del Rio wagon.
Looks great. Looks like youre almost done. I hope I can get the parts to you before you finish. I am very busy between work and yard work here.
The tires in the kit needed whitewalls,so I used the old circle template and acrylic flat white trick.
I did not like the kit supplied driveshaft,so I used a brass tube and plastic U-joints.Much better!
I opted for the 3 on the tree manual trans set up.
Ok!thanks!
I'm working on the parts for you. Hang in there.
Discovered my nefarious ploy, did you?LOlOk I have finished painting the body and the two tone interior...working on his little brother too!
philo426 That is going to be a great thing to see (now that I "understand" your clever plan to mount the motor under the hood )
And a Nice Going Award for midnightprowler for his assist.

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
Yes that is the plan, tie rod too!
You may want to paint the fuel tank steel.
This it is an older tool.so the exhaust is molded into the chassis.some touch up is needed but not too bad!
PM sent!
If you want the correct parts, I have them. They are yours I just need you to cover postage. I will send the complete setup. Pm me if interested.
Wow!AMT really dropped the ball!To be fair the instructions do name it as a custom option.Never represent it as a factory option.
Revells 57 Del Rio has it.
Lol!not mounted in the roof!I just wanted the engine and body in the same shot!
Duster - thats the latest in cold air intakes
Thanks,
John
I don't know what the air box looks like either, 'course I never saw an engine mounted on the roof either. So I'll just keep watchin' to see how this plays out.
Do like the red and white = classic in my mind.
I'm also curious about what it's "supposed" to look like.
Was planning on using it in my 56. AMT is usually pretty good about their part's being accurate.... but there's alway's an exeption to that rule.
Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
OK what should it look like?
Nice work but the amt air cleaner box isn't accurate. JFYI.
Opted for the Paxton Supercharger.
