Thanks, guys
The dual chassis' have been narrowed to fit the cab and begin the chassis' design.
The design and construction will be day-by-day.
Time for more thinking and imagination.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Cars that are slammed are cool but this is on a whole other level. WOW I like the creativity and the "semi", (small pun), rat rod look. If I were to see a real truck chopped I would wanna do a full walk around to take it all in.
we're modelers it's what we do
keavdog Wow those motors are pretty - any P-51B link here :)

Never thought of that, but your right.
And I l LOVE those trains of the '40s.
I want to build one someday.

More imaginative thing. What if......?
Both chassis will have to be narrowed. Stock frame assembled for more thinking. I THINK this may get a little "NUTZ" . This Car Hauler might be just what it needs with the custom resin dual fenders.

Thank you keavdog .
As I said earlier, I like to finish the backside of things too. So the front fenders get the same treatment after being lengthened.
Cab is fairly good now, so it's time to start looking at the beginning of the chassis and engine pieces. The truck will be rear-engined with 2 Allison engines with 2 top-mounted blowers, and 2 front-mounted turbo-chargers - all chrome. The 2 chassis in the center are what the engines originally fit in, so they will be trimmed to the right size. Both Allison engines will be custom-built, and look like this with the turbo-chargers on the front of the engine, but will have 2 6-71 super-chargers on top. Everything you see is from the 1969 thunderbird race car kit. This is one of the custom-built Allison engines partially assembled and test fitted into the untrimmed 1969 Thunderbird chassis. And here are both partially custom-built engines sitting side by side, and being test fitted in their untrimmed chassis. Everything on the front of the engine is custom-built matching turbo-chargers. This is where the chassis design begins.

Major surgery there! Looking very sharp
Thanks guys. The fun is just beginning.
Time for a little head-scratching and more imagination .
When I build customs, I like to finish the inside as well as the outside to look like the parts just came out of the box. A little more work, but it makes the build "clean". Thinking out-loud. Should I ?? Interior parts and panels "chopped", to match the outside. Sometimes when I build, I have a picture in my head. This time it's as I go, with a flash of imagination from time to time.

Fascinating work! You have my attention.
I know some would call this "cartoony", but I think it looks sick. Your work and skills is most impressive. Looking forward to seeing more.

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
Really impressive. Interesting to watch you build the chassis.
When there's nothing else to do in the wintertime ,
a project can start out looking like this...
...and then somewhere along the line, it begins looking like this. And then the vision...and "fun"... begins to escalate! The front fenders needed to be lengthened at the rear side. The lengthened front fenders are in primer. Finally, some imagination.
