Help. Has anyone built the Tamiya Lotus 99T?

That A7 part doesnt fit very well into the hole in the wing upright.  The dark arrow means it doesn't use glue.  I sanded away some of the material on the tab of A7 but man is it really tough to fit.  Way too much force is being applied for a plastic model.  I'm worried that sanding to much will compromise the fit.  Has anyone built this kit?  What am I missing?

It's a tight fit without paint.  I'd shave the slot in the wing rather than part A7.

If the parts have been painted, scrape off the paint at those mounting points.

It's not the best design, but they want you to attach the lower half of the wing to the post, then put the top of the wing on.  If you already assembled the wing it won't fit either.

Build what you want and build it for yourself, the rest will follow... Mark D. Jones
