It's a tight fit without paint. I'd shave the slot in the wing rather than part A7.
If the parts have been painted, scrape off the paint at those mounting points.
It's not the best design, but they want you to attach the lower half of the wing to the post, then put the top of the wing on. If you already assembled the wing it won't fit either.
