The older AMT stock car kits are terrible, not that the new ones are much better!!

Much rather prefer R-M for car kits.

i agree ryan, im still fuming over the supposed "reissue" of the old mpc "knight rider" trans am.

I think both Revell and AMT kits are horrible. I wish Tamiya made hot rods and muscle cars.

These are re-pops of old MPC kits. Some of their later car kits are nice.

no worse than some of revelle's kits latley though, kind of hit and miss when it comes to different companies these days

judging by their star wars kits, which is all that i've dealt with of theirs, AMT sucks.

Ive had that problem and also the detail sucks horribly.
the front end suspension setup is noexistant... you send a plastic axle through the inside of the engine bay and that holds the wheel/tire on. ITs going to be fun making the suspension and engine mounts. this will be a gift to someone and i need it to look good.

AMT is not my type of kit. I find the plastic is to thin and do not line up with
the next piece.

Im trying to put together an amt chevelle and am confident enough to say I will try hard to avoid anything from AMT again!
