What a delight to see a model of a modern day fire engine. Thankyou for showing these photo's for all to see.

Does this kit have an engine and transmission?

Cheers

After a really long wait it finally out and naturally on my bench. This is a 2002 year model. The kit it's self so far is pretty nice. Lot's of parts fairly well detailed, photo etch and all. Like any kit though it isnot without it's flaws of which most that I have noticed so far are easily fixed. Not complaining though, just glad to see a modern fire truck out. So on to some pics.

Finished the chassis last night.

Installing the drive shafts are a %#@!* The one going from the front to the pump is just a tad to long. The way I finally figured it out was to mount them both in ends away from the pump , then put in the rear end side on the pump. Then you will have to carefully angle the pump in and slide the one from the tranny into the pump. The with some strong CA attach the pump so it won't pop off.

Here is the first thing I fixed. I drille dout the area around the pump valves to make them have more realistic look to them.

Tried to give the roll up door a used look.

For those building it, here is something else that needs to be corrected. The things in the yellow circles ar the transmission selectors. The one on the officer side (right)of the dog house needs to be removed.
