You can tell my car by the FSM magazines and Scale Auto magazines stuck in the door pockets inside large protective zip-loc bags ... you know ... for those train crossings in Chicago ... with those long mid-western (USA) trains ... and for waiting at the Metra train station for the wife to return from the "big city".

Gee ... I never thought about it ... but with all these darn trains ... it is a wonder I didn't become a "train nut" ... aaahhh ... but there is still time ...

I get lots of good reading in ... a few moments at a time. (note: I am a safe driver ... I NEVER try to read while I drive ... even in bumper to bumper traffic during rush hour on the Kennedy ... like some folks I see).

Anyway ... see ya at the hobby shop ... Cool [8D]

He/she has a sign thats on the car window which reads :
CAUTION..!! MODEL ON BOARD
Flaps up, Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

I'm without a car just at the moment, but here goes anyway:

side reflectors and rear window brake light replaced with aircraft "slime light" formation strips.

distrubutor cap is chromed (cool feature if useless on a distributor cap) :-)

windows tinted with Tamiya's "clear smoke" paint

chipped chrome is patched with Bare Metal foil

occaisionally a bit of mold flash can be seen on the bottom edge of the body shell

Who's next?

Your version doesn't go as fast, because its the standard injection molded version. Your friend has the speedier vacuum formed version, but has a harder time finding parts.

In the attic at home he has three unopened boxes containing 1962 Lotus 7's. And there's a couple of part built Westfields in the garage that he's going to get around to sometime, once he decides on a colour scheme!

The car is a 'curbside' because it has no engine. (I have a couple like that)

The hood is a diffrent shade than the rest of the car because he ran out of paint and the new stuff was from a diffrent batch than the old.

The lack of room from buying all those great kits on sale at the local
hobby shop or model show. The only problem is finding room for the kit you
really needed for your next project.

You can't start the engine, 'cause it's all glued together
or
You can't open the trunk because it's glued shut.
or
You can't fix a flat because this particular Revellogram only came with four tires.
or
For some strange reason, the seats are awfully hard.
or
It's impossible to tell how fast you're going, because the speedometer decal keeps peeling off.
or
You have to climb in through the windows 'cause the doors won't open.
or
When taking the car to AAMCO for transmission repair, the mechanic informs you that the transmission is mounted upside down, and the driveshaft is warped and installed backwards.

HEY,
The flames that he put on it are starting to yellow and peel.

There are molding circles on the floorboard.

If it gets too hot outside the car starts to melt.

There are a couple of parts in the garage that he couldn't locate on the instructions.

After a few years of use it starts to fall to pieces because the glue loses its adhesion

The bonnet (hood) and boot (trunk) are molded into the bodywork

The wife has the smaller scale version

It was 4 cm overscale, but he/she's corrected it by sawing the centre section out , adding plasticard tabs for structural integrity, reassembled it and blended out the resulting mess with 150 lbs of filler.
