United B757

Hi,

Here is a build for a customer that wanted a rather taddered and weathered looking B757. The kit is a 1/144 resin from Authentic Airliners. The decals are from flight path.

Best regards,

Brad Shinn

Hi and thanks for the reply. The engines and bottom of fuselage were painted with Tamiya dark blue.

How did you replicate the tarmac?

Hi Manstein,

It was photographed on a portion of dry-wall that I cut in half. One side is painted and other is not painted.

What color is the wing? It looks really close to the Boeing Gray.

NIce work Brad. This old scheme seemed to wear especially hard, and weathering airliners realistically is hard. Still like this livery better than the hybrid Continental/United scheme. It's like they picked the worst of both worlds.

Cheers, Aaron

Fantastic build! I think you captured this one perfect. I love the tarmac, and the weathering. It looks like a picture of the real deal. Congrats on a job well done. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Aaron,

Yes...she's been through a battle-ship of miles. I agree new UA livery is a mistake!
