I'm sorry but what's a cross over? I'm old these new terms

NP Crown,

A crossover is a build you are working on in another group build.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hey Gents, My interest in joining up in your GB has grown immensely. I have some choice candidates but, I have one in particular. You see, I have one single model in my large stash that I desparately wish to build. It is the Pro Modeler/Monogram 1/48 PBY-1A Catalina. This has been in my stash for years. In the 7 yrs. I've been back to modeling I have been purposely honing my skills to where I'd feel comfortable tackling this critter. My father flew the PBY during the war as a flight instructor and he loved that plane. When this kit came out I bought it excitedly to build for my dad at some point. Unfortunately, my father passed away suddenly before I was ever able to build it. I feel that this the opportunity to pull it down and get with it. I am faced with a glaring issue; where in the world am I going to display this huge model? This may require negotiations with "She who holds all power" as to acquire space in the living area. Lol. My other trepidation I have is that I'm not blessed with copious amounts of bench time and I fear that it may take me more than a year to build as this is not an OOB build. So, in short, I'm hoping.

In the event the PBY project does not seem feasible at this time, I also have a Revell (Matchbox repop) 1/72 Heinkel He 115 w/AM goodies than I'm anxious to build.

By all means, jump in and "gittr done"! Your father would be very appreciative and the Domestic Goddess will give approval I'm sure.
