My latest project, more of a paint exercise though as there are only three parts to the kit.

Just to add some scale perspective to this, the jaw at the hinge would measure about 4 feet across.

Still have some work to do on the flesh. The lighting makes the brown on the lower half look weird, will have to work on that for the next shot.

The kit has no stated scale so that's open to interpretation. What do you think is scarier, 1/48 or 1/72?

Awesome! Always thought the plesiosaurus was one neat looking critter. Love the colours, if they didn't look like this they should have!

Swiped from Wikipedia, but it may be closer to 1/35 scale based on this photo. I know a lot of dinosaur kits started being made in 1/35 after Jurassic Park in order to be used with figures and HMMWVs.

All done. I was going to use a piece of clear acrylic rod to mount it but cold not find any at my local hobby shop so just used some aluminum tube.

Looks fantastic! The aluminum tube looks fine and again I really love the colouration you did.

Thanks. You would not believe how long it took to settle on the color scheme for this one. I have a T-Rex kit that I still can't decide what color scheme to go with.
