LOL...the funny part is, I have been collecting books (even have the very first edition WH40K Rogue Trader in pristine condition plus an 40k chapter approved book of the astronomicon [hast the wolftime campaign]), figures, the games, etc but not once have I played. I love the background though, kind of an ancient Egyptian King is God meets medievil Europe Gothic type, religion gone wild. I love the books. I used to play spacehulk very heavily though, loved it for its simplicity and the updates like using regular pa space marines with their heavily armored terminator counterpart. Not sure why they havent gotten back around to updates or exspansions for it. My son and I will sit down for a game every now and again, but its hard to find anyone else who still plays. I was thinking recently about starting to collect Dark Eldar, love the whole sinister background. Wife has directed no more until I paint what I already have...*sigh*

The Sanguinius is actually standard scale, but it looks like the Bloodthirster has been heavily modified from head to toe. The actual GW/Citadel model range does not carry the large scale busts, but Forge World has several, and their quality is beyond comprehension. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Very much so, for the collector.
Like you, wolf, I've been playing WH for over 10 years now. Started w/ SM, then Chaos SM, then IG, now doing Eldar. You've gotta love the Wraithlords, unless you have to fight them.

Cant wait to see your work...I have been piecing together a Blood Angels Company for going on...hmmm...I wanna say 10 years now. They have changed armor and references on me a couple of times so far. Sad part is I have only completed about 30 figs, a razorback, a predator, and a dread. Hehe, I'll be working on these until Im taking the long dirt nap. Anyway, the figure from forgeworld is probably resin and looks to be between 90 and 100mm, maybe more. The most prolific of the GW line are around 30 to 35mm and cast in metal, which is probably what you are using for your Space Wolves. Oh and welcome to the hobby, I just really got back into it recently after a long, long hiatus...college, family, etc.

Wolfp, thanks for the website, if the local guys from gw cant help me ill go that way. I was wandering if that is just a regular figure. Im still a newby in the hobby, with both figures an regular modeling(armour nad aircraft). Im defenetly hoping to post some of my figures here soon. Might not be as great but i like them. Im from the us

oh heck, almost forgot. Neon, the guys from forgeworld used to have an excellent spacewolf, think it was a Grey Hunter, that was in the 90-100mm scale. Figure looked awesome, not sure if it was resin or metal. Anyway, they are a little pricey and overseas (based in England; not sure where you are from) but it might be worth looking into at http://www.forgeworld.co.uk

That would be great demono, looking forward to seeing it. BTW, I assume you have the latest copy of WD, did you check out the one scene with Sanguinus and the Bloodthirster? If I am not mistaken, the Sanguinus is a modified Artemis which would make the Bloodthirster freakin monstrous.

Are you refering to the Tycho? HUGE figure.If I can get a digital camera, I'll try to post some pics of my Fantasy Chaos army. 6,000 pts and growing... Conversions are also so easy with these figures. You can do just about anything with any of the miniatures. WAY too much fun.

btw demon69, yes they are great, very good detail on them. I gave my father a copy of ...hmmm....oh heck, cant remember his name, he's the witch hunter in the power armor. Now I wish I had him back, hehe. I also like the Eisenhorn. The fact they all have an action pose is a bonus, makes for a more interesting piece IMHO.

Thanks gang...I am relatively pleased with how this turned out considering its my first above the 35mm range (think thats what the gw stuff is). All that extra space I had to fill...hehe. This started out as a challenge from my father, he used to model but just does figures now and is the standard I am working toward. Long story short, I guess there is a show in DC this weekend and he goaded me into doing this so I could enter with him. Last I heard, he was griping about problems with gaps on a WWI German. I'll snap a few pictures of my b-day gift which was a 100mm WWI Marine he did. Think I am going to try a bust next, just not sure where I can fit it into the cue. ;)

BTW, jgeratic, great Terminator squad! Incredible detail, worthy of any true Space Marine!

One of the ideas I was kickin around, cept on decal sheet vice paper. other one was printing, taking a pencil to the reverse side of the paper then laying it on and using a solid object to rub hoping that some of the pencil transfers and follow it up by painting over it.

Regarding the nameplate - if it's not raised detailed lettering so that it could be dry brushed, may I suggest you try creating it on a paint program, print it out and then just trim it and paste it on the model.
