The movie Enemy Mine" was good, too.  The short story/novella was better, but movie treatments rarely do justice to the original work. Alien

Well, this may be a bit of stretch, but I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. Favorite episodes are Space Mutiny and Werewolf.

Action Fleet Unlimited: Star Wars models, customs, toys, techniques, and scale lists (with a few non-SW models thrown in)

Cheers

I just can't pick one series over another:

Star Trek- Deep Space 9 for some reason I liked how the cast acted in that series.

Farscape - just loved the entire series.

Red Dwarf - especially the first 3 seasons.

Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex first season, The major is awesome.

Also Babylon 5 is awsome (have all of those as well)

Battle star Gallactica is pretty great too (have those as well)

Oh wow there are soo many Enterprise with Scott Bakula, Babylon 5 the fall of the night and who can forget molari and Vir singing Centauri opera also GROPOS was really well done it had a anti war theme and they spent all this time getting to know all these solders (character development was ready great) at the end they show you each one dead on the battlefield where they fell.  The writer's and director's were really great in that series... and Firefly I don't think they made a bad eposode, all 14 of  them !!!

My fave was Star Trek the original...episode Amok Time

but the new enhanced version with upgraded special effects.... I think it's a tie.

Amok Time and Doomsday Machine. The new CG really sells the story in Doomsday

Gerry ...Young at Heart - Other parts slightly older.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Lost in Space" or "The Invaders" with Roy Thines from the mid 60's.

I did post the invaders a few posts back. Great show, very well done. If you haven't watched it pick up the DVDs and check it out.

Lost in Space is fun, but like all IA productions, it's not really good Sci Fi.

The first season was good but it got very silly after that. Still a fun show to watch which takes me back  to my earlier years. Another great show was "The Time Tunnel".

Dr Who, especially the revamped series. Toss between Waters Of Mars and Blink. Just found out the Actress who played Sarah Jane Smith, Elisabeth Sladen passed away on the 19th April.

Firefly, which ended way too early, and BSG are brilliant too. Caprica I missed out on only caught a few episodes, just hope Blood and Chrome is going to as good as BSG was.

Plasticjunkie yes i do indeed remember Life On Mars, thought it was the most original series ever, as for every body else, yeah, star trek the original.... goes without saying.

For me its definitely the new Battlestar Galactica, watched it every night on DVD from start to finish.

I'm a big Anderson fan as well so Space 1999 and UFO.

Favorite episode...Dragons Domain from Space 1999.

As for Battle star ...Wow........... can't put my finger on any single episode.

Without question Doctor who. he's awesome!

Never like the old, ones though, but I do love David. Hard to say which is my favorite, but probably "The impossible planet" (Part 1 and 2) Simply because he fight Satan underground.....  on a planet over a black hole. But the recent doctor season premier "a Christmas Carol" is the best of the new series.

I'm a recent Battlestar Galactica convert (new series), myself.  We've been watching it on Netflix, and it has just been blowing me away, episode after episode.  The first two large mini-series episodes, then in the 2nd season, "The Final Cut", "Flight Of The Phoenix",  "Scar",  the mini-plot where Starbuck flies the Cylon raider home.

The writing so far seems top notch and just leaves me on the edge of my seat time after time.  It is also amazing and somewhat nostalgic to be able to watch a show that can pull you in and get you so engrossed in it like this one does to me.

Put me down as another huge, huge fan of the Outer Limits. I have them on DVD. My favorite episode is "the Architects of Fear" with Robert Culp. I also love O.B.I.T. I just love the period and does bring back the childhood (cough cough).

I'm like everyone else, and love Star Trek, possibly my favorite series of all time. My favorite episode of so many is "Balance of Terror", which was about the Romulan ship that crosses the neutral zone and takes out some outposts, eventually playing cat-and-mouse with the Enterprise.

Of course, I like the Twilight Zone. Hard to pick a personal favorite, for I like them all.

Doctor Who.  Im surprised only a few others have mentioned it.  FOR SHAME ON YOU ALL.

Specifically the episode 'girl in the fireplace' in the period of David Tennant's doctor.

The doctor lands on a ship in space with no crew except for clockwork robots that mangaed to open up a bunch of time windows all over the ship to different periods of time in the life of one french noble woman.

side note.  I do NOT like Matt Smith's doctor and I do NOT like Tom Baker's doctor.  I LOVE John Simm's version of the Master though I dont like Russle T Davies' 2nd serial with the Master in it, The whole seeing his skeleton and shooting lighting thing was odd.

The original Star Trek is still my favorite. As far as episodes go, two top faves are Balance of Terror, and The Space Seed. I also as a kid used to LOVE UFO, but I have not seen it in so long I cant remember any episodes. I did enjoy the pilot for the new Battlestar Galactica (much darker than the original series) and much of what was shown about the ship was closer to what was written in the original book. Unfortuanately I missed much of the series afterwards being sent away by Uncle Sam for 18 months, so when I came back i was completely lost...Confused

You can probably watch it on Hulu or buy it on DVD.

I'm hooked on Firefly.  The concept, the characters, the actors, everything makes for a terrific experience.

Firefly rocks, no question! Especially the last ep, Objects In Space.

Did ya like the movie Serenity? It replaced Blade Runner as my all-time favourite!

stikpusher, if you are going to catch-up on Battlestar Galactica, make certain you watch BSG: Razor.

I just LOVED what Michelle Forbes (“Helena Cain”) says she exclaimed when she read the script: Oh my God! I’m a L*E*S*B*I*A*N! (Let’s see what the nanny-filter does with that!)

My favorite has to be Star Trek and I remember waiting for the premier with anticipation; it was sold as an adult hour show.

The episode that sticks with me for whatever reason most was The Twilight Zones "The Seventh is made of phantoms". Warren Oates was in that one too.

My favorite as a kid was "Fireball XL5"; the actors were marionettes.

Goodness180: I have seen *A*L*L* of BSG, original and re-envisioned, plus “Caprica”. My aside had nothing to do with the sex in the show and everything to do with the actress’s reaction to being cast as a ****. “Razor” was one of the better arcs in BSG.
