Warlock Class Destroyer
Posted by NucMedTech on Sunday, May 5, 2013 8:59 AM

Hello again everyone,

Finished up BamBam Productions kit of Babylon 5's ship. This ship is the EA (Earth Alliance) Banshee, a Warlock Destroyer. The Warlocks were designed by the EA in conjunction with the Shadow during the Shadow war.  Babylon 5 had already broken away from the EA for various reasons. BamBam's kit is pretty nice; but, mine was a little rough in the casting on the main hull. I don't know if it was designed that way or was just the casting. All in all though a nice kit. Well Onto the pictures.

Sweet build. I've got their Battlestar Poseidon in my stash and it has some of the rough texturing too.

Great Stephen, now I'm going to have to run out and pick one up!

Beautiful work there. I've got an the old Omega class destroyer garage kit and a pile of other B5 subjects- I really need to build some of them.

Xwingfan- Thanks for dropping by. I've got the Minbari cruiser and the Battlestar Valkrie from Bambam, neither one has the rough texture like this did.
TD- I liked the look of this ship as well. Did not want to do an all black/grey scheme so I took a little artistic license to it.
Gamera- You don't have to run anywhere, they'll deliver right to your door. Lol.
Seriously though I do appreciate you guys and your opinions.

Lol, thanks Stephen!

Didn't these ships have a more low-tech version of the bio-organic hull of Shadow vessels which I'm assuming the rough texture is supposed to represent? Not sure but I think they were only mentioned in 'B5' itself with short glimpses on 'Crusade' and 'Lost Tales' so I can't say much about how accurate or inaccurate it may be.

Going to have to pick up the Minbari cruiser and the Olympia corvette, I didn't know anyone was still doing 'B5' subjects. I have an old Warp Models Minbari cruiser but the shape is really off and I'm not really sure how to correct it.
