So on William Shatner's birthday I won Tickets to the Star Trek set tour in Ticonderoga! To meet and hang out with William Shatner as he leads the tour of the meticulously rebuilt sets of the Enterprise!..
I still can't believe it.
I may bring the Enterprise in the video for the Captain's inspection :D
Incredible!

Another clip of my Enterprise in action!
That last one, the view from the saucer top,is almost indistinguishable from the original footage.
Blow people's minds (or cause some people to trigger) and have it posed with the 1/350 Millenium Falcon like the Botony Bay.
midnightprowler How about remastering a episode?

midnightprowler Wow. More please!!!
Wow. More please!!!
Wow Jim Kirk, you ARE the Captain! And that is definitely your ship.
Your ship.
Your.
Ship.
But seriously, it really captures the “feel” of the original to a tee.
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Oh WOW!!! I thought I'd already commented here, guess not...
Beautiful model of my favorite starship, brings a tear to my eye!

Having forgotten I had these brief videos that were finished prior to my surgery and thinking there probably would be no interest in this type of Model kit film anyway(it's not a table top video with a shaky cell phone all out of focus), or a typical YOUTUBE "how to" video,I kinda tossed them. However, with out much to do while I recuperate, I revisited them and thought they were kinda cool. A tribute to the Star Trek effects masters. The 1/350 model was filmed in front of a blue screen, just like the original. The star field was added later(just like the original). The lighting effect of the model is all in camera.
Ah yes, excellent. She is a goodlooking starship. To paraphrase Capt. Kirk from the episode "I, Mudd": "...she is a beautiful lady, and we love her." Aye!
Live long and prosper.
Please post more pics.
midnightprowler Beautiful. Scotty would be proud.
Beautiful. Scotty would be proud.
Sincere thanks to you and Mr. Scott!
Here is my 1/350 Star Trek original Series Enterprise build. Using reference material I have collected over the years, I set out to make this model as close to the 11' Filming miniature AS IT WAS SEEN during the production of the Original series...
The Engine pods are motorised and can spin as fast or slow as I like via a variable speed potentiometer.
The overall lighting has been adjusted to reflect correct scale through the use of Resistors, sanding the clear parts and clear flat coats of paint.
The Hideous and incorrect grid lines were filled in and sanded smooth(I built this prior to the release of the smooth hull replacement parts)
The model is weathered per the filming miniature.
The brief video shows the model in its rawest form...with seperate videos showing the Engine Pod effect. I even included footage of the real model's pod from the episode The Doomsday Machine to compare. The second part shows a recreation of the effects complete with some star bleed through.
High Regards,
Mark
