I've purchased two Star Trek TOS Enterprise Lighting Kits, MKA007, and both have the same problem: wire B's black and red wires are reversed; specifically the wires are connected to the plug incorrectly. I've tested both with a multimeter. I bought the first kit and tried to use it; but nothing would light. Testing showed the polarity was being reversed on Wire B. I've purchased the second set to replace the parts that are burned out. To make it work, the red wire on harness B needs to be spliced to the black wire on harness J, and vice versa.
I reached out to Round2 and here is their reply:
Yes we do know of the issue and it will be corrected on future runs. You just need to reverse the wires to correct the issue.
And f you have any parts that are bad let us know and we can replace them for you.
Posting so any modelers working with this kit are aware of the problem and avoid the burning out parts due to this known production quality issue.
