Yours will be based o nthe ABC series.  The one pictured here is from the SyFy series, which postulates a second Cylon war, and the Raiders have become an individual Cylon themselves, rather than being crewed by Cylons.  Hence the "mean."

So, it does need a red LED sweeping back and forth

And they were organic (or organic-looking anyway) inside.

And deing organic internally, each one cost the Cylon Empire more than the original version.

One day I looked up the name Cylon and found a person named cylonius.  Interesting read, similar to the original story line in the 70s.
