The Half Breed Prince Fan

Actually, AVOID Aztec Dummy's masks AT ALL costs!

There is a FAR better and FAR MORE accurate choice available...orbital_drydock.

His work is simply outstanding!

Between his ASTOUNDINGLY ACCURATE painting masks and the Trekmodeler.com "Refit" painting guide...one CAN achieve COMPLETE screen accuracy.

Now, re: TOS E...

She does NOT have the 'usual' aztecs...she has LARGE panels (not a trillion small ones making up the aztec 'pattern' that rise and surround and have nO rhyme or reason as re: aztecs.

TOS DID NOT have any and TOS Remastered not only turned a one White vessel into a Grey one (?) they also added A LOT of hull plating (more aztecs) and SEVERELY LIMITED the amount of TOS "weathering" and I have YET to see ANYone achieve THIS effect (the one seen on the TOS Remastered, 2009) of LARGE panels surrounding the saucer of varying sizes...UNTIL I build mine.

TOS LOVERS ch-ch-check this man;s werks out...orbitaldrydock.com/.../Complete-TOS

Or was this the movie version?

The Bandai kit is the movie version the -A.  TOS  "E" was NCC-1701. (No bloody A, B,C,D or E.)

Hello all,

I don't know if this link has been posted before:

http://meshula.net/daystrom/1701/1701_1.html

It has some really good pictures and information regarding the original model of the USS Enterprise NCC1701 as she stands at the Smithsonian today.

For the record, on the last ep of Enterprise, there was a shot of NCC-1701 during the "These are the Voyages...." monologue, and it was the CGI Defiant model, complete with all aztec-markings, re-dressed as the Enterprise.  That would be 'canon' - I regard it as a version that falls between the refit from the movie and the last TOS ep in 1969.

This sounds vaguely familiar. Wasn't there an alternate universe episode (Mirror Darkly?) in which the Conny Class ship was in Aztec?

The original Enterprise had no aztek pattern, but did have weathering and a VERY light set of grid lines on the upper saucer.  Check out  the website called the idic pages for some great pics of the model.

To be honest with you, this has really got me thinking now.. My little Polar Lights TOS Enterprise has been sitting there for about 2 years now saying re-do me.. I think I might strip that little bad boy down and do it with an aztec..

I am getting in way over my head, cause I still have the big one going, and I also have the AMT Refit and Reliant waiting to be completed...But the aztec TOS E sounds like alot of fun!
