I am an E-Bay JUNKIE!!
There! I admitted it! (its the first step in a loooooooong process)Big Smile [:D]

Found the original Maserati 3500 from the 60's for $6.00 --- Never seen it less than $35-$45 on E-bay

And just a couple of weeks ago I found Vexar(Roy Foker's Veritech Fighter--is that spelled right?) for $15!! Oh, sure the box wasn't so great and it looked like a 9 year old(my age the first time I built one in '84) started the first 4 steps, but its been a lot of fun so far in restoring it!

Some people call it "evil bay", but so far I haven't been burned by anyone on there and I've purchased several hard to find toys for my son over the past two years.

How about this question:
Ever had a bad experience on e-bay?

I just started shopping e-bay about a month ago! I had no idea what I was missing!
1) I got a Zoids Dibison kit for $10. They don't sell it in this area and it normally sells fr $40!

2) Zoids Zaber Fang for $4 which normally sells for $20 or more.

3) Zoids Dark Horn $5

4) A lot of 3 kits: 1/144 High Grade Full Burner Gundam, Super Saiyan Vegeta, and a third anime robot kit i had never heard of [but appears to be piloted by three humanoid cat creatures]. Now the 1/144 kit is actually about 10" to 12" inches tall when assembled [not one of those little 5" tall deals]. That kit alone was worth $30! Vegeta and the other kit was just a bonus. {Vegeta rules!}

5) Tamiya Pink Panther [desert assault vehicle] for $4 which was a partial build.

6) tamiya Pink Panther $5 new in box.

I have also gotten numerous other militry figs and such. I also recently became an armor builder/tread head. But don't worry i still love my sci-fi models and robots!

Again, this wasn't ebay, but. Around a year ago at a car boot sale I bought a box of model bits, all very old. Got it home & found all the bits for a flying sub from voyage to the bottom of the duck pond, sorry, sea. It had been assembled once, but over time the glue had weakened. It's still sitting here in a bag, as I found it. I assume it's the original Aurora?, yellow hull & silver interior bits, all the major parts are there, lots of small ones too. Maybe one day I'll get around to building it, I found some good pic's on the net. Unless someone out there really wants it badly? In which case, offers to my email address, goodness knows what the postage will be from Saudi.

Badger 100sg airbrush with compressor, with no bids and barely used, for $15.

If you know your airbrushes then you know other companies buy from the brand name airbrush companies as a kit and sell rotten compressor in that kit that make the airbrush run terrible. That Badger is listed under the name of a fingernail airbrush company and is a Badger double action 100sg.

A second great find at Ebaby was an Iwata HP-B under another company name that deals in foods...only $14.

I suppose compressor, a medium grade compressor, that came with the Badger is nice to have around but I don't know if I will ever use it because my main compressor is far too nice, a Silentaire A20. Maybe I'll sell that back up airbrush compressor on Ebay and make a profit on my Badger buy!

I picked up the old Monogram rereleases of their Willy Ley 50's space kits for $10 bucks-4 kits. Not a great deal, but it meant a lot to me. I had built all the kits as a kid, and it was nice to have them back again.

For a sci-fi kit, it was the V.I.N.CENT robot from Black Hole for $20. For a regular kit, it was a toss up between the 1/32 Airfix M3 Lee and the 1/24 ITC T-92 Airborne Drop Tank for $24.99.

Edit: BTW I still have my old Robotech Defenders Commando kit. That's the big huge camel looking thing with a turret and platforms on each side? Great kit.

You can find some amazing things on ebay, that's for sure. I know some good deals are being had because I'm providing them! I'm selling over 25 kits on ebay right now, all with $1.00 starting bids and I have over 200 still to list! No sci-fi this time, but many cars and trucks. It's hard to go wrong for a buck...

Well, it wasn't on ebay, but the best internet deal I ever made was a Halcyon Nostromo that I bought from a guy online for $50. Couple of pieces had already been trimmed of flashing, but otherwise like new. Heck it still had the sales receipt inside the box for when he bought it new for $125. I couldn't have been happier.
