Cosmic J -

I spent a lot of the time at TimeSlip's table with my SSD and other Star Destroyer accessories.

So we probably chatted and didn't know, either.

Cheers

I did, but I didnt comment on them, because, well, some of them are so amazing I almost... well... I almost needed new pants.

TMI, TMI! Wink [;)]

It's cool, you don't need to comment. I just glad you enjoyed them.

Puma_Adder:

Same here. those are great pics. I just wish ya got more pics of the bot in the first pic.

Hey P_A, good to see you around again, where you been hiding out?

I don't see a bot in the first picture, do you mean the "Destination Moon" Lander?

thunderbearr:

I was there. I was at WF.  Saw all the kewl models and stuff.  Funny thing is, I can't remember much of anything else.  The whole show was a blur!

And I'm going next year, too.  :D

Heh, you know that means we probably passed right by one another at some point, and never even knew it.  Big Smile [:D].

I've been going every year since it was held at the Holiday Inn over on Brownsboro rd. back in the early 90's, and I thought I knew everybody who hung out each year. Then when I started frequenting sites, I was quite surprised to realise how many regular attendees I had rubbed shoulders w/ and yet never actually met. It's a small world...

STOP IT!

This is NOT Hobbyfanatics, 4chan, or some other loose ruled place for young children to run around calling each other names.

This is a place for adults, who know how to manage and carry themselves to show of their work and help eachother.  We respect each other on this forum.  If this does not stop, I am going to talk to a moderator about seeing your account suspended or maybe banned.

That goes for both of you!  Responding in kind is just as bad as instigating, if he does that again, report it, and leave it at that.

UNDERSTAND?!

You know, it's unfortunate that it has to come to this, but someone has to call this frakkin punk out for what he is! Come on! This guy is a respected member of the modeling community? This guy actually served in the Air Force. I'm ashamed that this piece of crap ever got into the military. He's one of the worst examples of what happens to some morons when they get a little rank. It's called the "God Complex."

How many people has this jerk attacked? Captain Robert April, Ron H., Dave Shaw, REL, Raist, Fokkerpilot, KTM, Chuck PR, and many many others. Who is covering for this punk?

For frak's sake, Mellvar, give it a rest, willya?  If you're asking who's got Jeff's back, well, add me to the list.  In all my dealings, Jeff has never been anything other than a respectable, stand-up guy.

As far as knocking his service record, well, sir, did you serve?  From what I'm hearing, I'll guess not.  Jeff and any other serviceman or woman have my deepest respect.  You, not so much.

I believe it was from Johnny Quest!

Yeppers, that is indeed the QuestJet.  Whoever put that together did an awesome job, too!

There it is! Thanks. I believe you are right about it being Johnny Quest. The Venture Bro.s jet is a parody of the Quest jet so it looks very close.

Lexesbenz:

Sure, it was my Killer Croc kit, got a bronze.

Only a Bronze? I'm surprised. The judging must have been tough this year. Excellent job on the eyes, in particular.

Agentg:

What's the dates for WF next year and exactly where will it be? Now that I'm a short drive away I'm definately going to attend.

The next one is May 16th of next year, here in The ‘Ville.  The obligatory link:

Hope you can make it.

Sorry. I don't think I saw it, or else I didn't recognise it when I did. I would definitely have snapped a picture if I had. Maybe somebody else?

SG:

Wow.  I wish I could go to these things!  I really like the dio for 20000 LUTS.  The colors are really cool and the whole thing looks great.  I think that ORB EX ship is a great idea, really fun.  I think the third Dracula, the one with the stained glass is my fav fingure there.  And that Bust that says Hideous (I think) on the bottom looks great too.  Thanks for putting these up CJ.

Yer welcome.

I really liked that 20000 LUTS dio too. As Watchmann points out, it had lights hidden in the terrain to illuminate the divers on the sea floor, and the nautilus was lit from the inside as well. I imagine it would look bad a** in a darkened room.

The ORB EX ship was cool too. I like the way the modeler implied speed and movement w/ his shading/weathering.

The bust is "The Hideous Sun Demon", I believe it's from an old Hammer Horror film. It was very well done, w/ subtle variations in the coloring and shading. The picture doesn't do it justice.

PetarB:

Some great pics there, thanks for taking the time to post em up!

You're welcome too. If I had known I was going to actually post my pix, I would have taken more. I've been going to WF since the early 90's, and my picture collection is absolutely huge, so I try to restrict myself to just a couple of dozen or so. Next year I'll go nuts, I promise.

lexesbenz:

This was a great show, winning an award made my day!!!!

Congrats! What did you win, and what was the model? Can you post a picture or two?

Ikar01:

In the first picture, what is the model on the left?

Dunno. Considering the modeler's theme, I'm guessing it's from a movie I haven't seen. I really like the display style, something I hadn't seen (or noticed) before.

Yes!  It had black lights in some of the mounds so you couldn't see them.  Those lights pointed back at the ship, making a lot of the ocean floor fluoresce.  Very nicly done.
