Once I was sitting in a Japanese harbor then all the sudden I surface and start hitting every freighter and tanker I saw with my deck gun destroying 6 freighters 4 tankers and heavily damaging 12 others (ran out of shells)

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

How tough are their warships?

Pretty tough if your surfaced and your slugging it out point blank but if you are at periscope depth you just put a couple fish into them and they sink. But you need to set the depth of your torpedo's to get them below the waterline since Destroyers sit a bit higher in the water than say a Cruiser or Battleship and a Carrier sits deeper than a Battleship due to the weight of ammo fuel and planes.

Have you encountered anything like a cruiser or above and engaged?

Got my Schnellboot's in today (both of them) took only 2 days. Too bad you didn't do a tutorial on how to hollow out the torpedo tubes.
