Jtilley, I have the Optivisor since the mid 60's but I have had an eye operation to get rid of wearing glasses I received two lenses which has me not wearing glasses, only for reading but when I was working on my models I used the Optivisor but attached the quasar lighting system a frame which attaches onto the front of the Optivisor which has six super bright LED 's and this has made a big difference in my modeling, if you have this unit this might be something you might try, BTW, I'm always looking for your replies to these questions from our group, you are a walking encyclopedia of knowledge on ships and thank you as your answers have helped me in my modeling.  Karl
photograph what intrests you today.....because tomorrow it may not exist.

to jtilley:Thank you for a quick answer. I think, because of what I've read here, you will be known among the ship modelers in our country (in our local forum) before you ever meet them!:)

to CapnMac82: I really agree. It always looks like a fake and so unnaturally with those molded ratlines. Even if modeler's trying to reach close to reality on the rest of its model.
