My Aussie friend can sure build a nice ship!!! Thanks for the respect for Her and Her crew, Ally!! Now, how about the tip of a toothpick or such to add some color to those "windows" or portholes on the masts, superstructure? I know, I don't always do it either!!!!  Black Eye

I have finally been to finish my Dragon USS Arizona in 1-700. Work commitments got in the way. For me, it is my tribute to the entombed 1177 Officers and Men still onboard her. This includes 17 set of Brothers and a Father and Son....RIP

I'm not sure how much it matters to you or how much of a P.I.T.A. it would be to change, but the ship's boats were supposed to be camouflaged as well:

Otherwise, (and even with) it's looking really nice!

Very nice looking!  I would love to be able to see the entire battleship row with the multicolored turret tops!

Now THAT would be a diorama to see!  Especially with the contrast between the ships that were still 5-D, and any that had already been converted to 5-S.

Ok. Major Superstructure and most main Assemblies are now done. To say it was easy was far from the truth. Main Bridge Structure was a shocking fit and it took me 45 minutes of Sanding, Test fitting and paint Touch ups to get me to this stage. I am still not happy with it overall but it is far better then it was. After friendly advice from here, I have painted turrets 1,2 and 4 With red Roofs to accurately portray her at Pearl......Photobucket[/img]

Nice work.....just got this one......

Dragon re-designed the deck into a 1 piece for their Pennsylvania....I plan on getting that one also as the changes are evident enough for me to justify 2 ships of the same class.

Did you use fine wire rod stock for your rigging?

Thanks Joe..I appreciate the comments. I have the Pensylvania also and plan to do that in the near future as well. For the rigging I use E-Z-Line. it comes in different thicknesses and comes in gray or black. It has a lot of stetch in it and holds it's shape well. You should be able to find it by googling the name. It comes from your neck of the woods and is great stuff to use and is very forgiving....Cheers Mark
