You're both correct in your own ways. Bunker wouldn't be eaten by any sane (and not desperate) human being). Very bony, oily, smelly critter.

Rich I have greatly enjoyed reading your log of this boat. A beautiful model and great documentation.

I am planning to build this boat and have the Rogers book, but it  is not sufficient to build with.  Where can the plans be obtained?

Dave, welcome to the forum, and thanks. The easiest source for the plans would be at http://cgi.ebay.com/MODEL-BOAT-BUNKER-SHIP-R-C-INSTRUCTIONS-PLANS-CD-/290494719015? but beware, I had to modify the build to accomodate for several deficiencies in the plans. I would be glad to help you with advice on these as you progress.

Thank you Rich for a quick response and the link to the plans.  I just ordered them and will look forward to putting them to good use ASAP.

Also thanks for your offer to help out where the plans are deficient. This will be my first boat model, but have done many planes and have restored a real boat.

Rich

I was able to get the referenced plans and have my wood and tools ready to build. Thank you for the eBay link for the plans and your offer to address the plan's deficiencies.

I was wondering how to best proceed: directly through this forum thread or through personal email?

Dave, my suggestion would be for you to start your own build log in a new thread like this one. Just give it a different title. Big Smile

Rich, thank you so much for posting pictures of your model. I love to see when members of the Forum post pictures of their work, especially if the model is scratch built.

Montani semper liberi !  Happy model to all and every one of you.
