Amen brother.

A smart kit company--a couple of Asian ones spring to mind--could box three versions (or a single combo-kit).  Bit of extra work would let them release a New York, too.

When oh when is somebody going to make a 1/350 plastic kit of the USS Texas. A ship built in 1914, fought in two wars, sailed in both the Atlantic and Pacific during WWII, and received five Battle Stars.
