That's awesome news.  My Enterprise is still sitting in the box just waiting for a hangar solution.

Due to my failure so far with photos, here are some renders. There are two big differences between the renders and the printed parts. 1) The printed parts have texture from the printing process. They need to be primed and sanded to get smooth; and 2) shrinkage at the floor creates small gaps that need to be filled.

First off, VERY nice work!!  I applaud your effort.  Regarding issue No. 2; I seem to remember Jay Leno discussing 3-D printing some parts they needed to replace on some of their car restorations.  Because the plastic does shrink, they make them about 1% larger so the people at the other end, recreating the part in metal would make the part the right size. Perhaps you need to increase things by just a bit to fill in the gaps?

Gentlemen,

Joe just emailed me photos of his work, and he asked if I could post them.  Can I  forward them to one of you to post since I have never mastered the process?

Raider,

I sent them almost a week ago.  Have you not received them?
